Pain in the Neck or New Fashion Statement?

On Tuesday I picked Josh up and tore a disc in my neck. Pain! And I spent the whole day whining in various Dr.s offices. On the plus side, I got this fashionable neck brace! I think it really accentuates that sweet chubby cheek look that is so in vouge right now.
My kids have been so great to help out around the house. Erika set the table for dinner and made everyone a sticky-note crown. We're so chic, it's scary. I mean, just go find pictures of Paris.....(France, not Hilton) Everyone is walking around with paper crowns. And the latest neck brace in ecru.

This is Brooklyn's new shirt dress. I did smocking on this one. I think I'll swap out the buttons with some cute sunflower ones, though. Smocking was easier than I thought it would be.

And finally, making cookies with a good friend. These girls cut out, baked and decorated many cookies each. I decorated my own and it was hard because I didn't want my frosting to have touched their frosting. I avoid frosting-saliva mixtures whenever possible. It was a good time, saliva notwithstanding.

I am sooo sorry about your neck... did you know that when I was in America I hurt my neck. It was horrible. I was out for 3 days. I was in so much pain they gave me hard drugs and I had to go to physical therapy. UGh. Awful. So, I understand a bit where you are coming from and I am sorry. you should get all the kids to sign your neck brace and draw pictures on it :)

I love the dress, so cute

I had no idea about the post-it note crown craze. I am so behind the times. I'd better get right on that tomorrow... or will they be OUT tomorrow? Oh dear....

I hope you are feeling better -- do you feel like the neck brace does any immediate good?

Caroline,
The neck brace has been the most helpful thing of all! The second the Dr. put it on, it took away probably 50% of the pain. Lortab and steroids did the rest! I couldn't hold my own head up, that's the problem. It comes with being so darn smart, I guess.

Andrea! Oh I am so sorry about your neck! You're right. It's because your brain was just too heavy in that gargantuan cranium of yours! KIDDING!

Well the dress looks amazing! I want you to do my wardrobe over for me. Heaven knows what I've been parading around in is a crime.

Anyway, I hope you feel better soon!

Ouch! Hope you get better soon. When you're up to it and don't have too much going on you need to come over again.
