Funded

We did actually sign our loan documents last night. It was crazy. It took an hour and 10 minutes. We had to sign everything and sign that we signed everything and then sign that those really were our signatures and then sign that we signed that it was our signature and then it had to be notarized and then we had to sign that it was notarized. Maybe I'm exaggerating...but maybe not! Several of the documents were aimed at making sure that we knew that we'd be in trouble if we defaulted on the loan. They may have threatened to take my kidney, Rhyans gallbladder and our firstborn child if we didn't pay up at the appropriate date but maybe it was something else. At least I think that's what they said. By that time we were 2/3rds into the ginormous stack of papers and I was feeling fairly dazed and confused. If she had slipped me a paper that said I was officially a giant burrito, I probably would have signed it. But at least we're done with that part!
Hurray!

Congrats! I still remember how long and tiresome that all is....I can only imagine how much more aweful it is when you tack construction onto all the paperwork for a house!! Good luck you guys! So happy for you.

I know that if UI need a smile all I have to do is come here! Thanks!!!
I SOOO understand the paper thing!!! There was a time when I would never sign anything... and then I got a home loan. By the time I was done I had no idea what I had agreed to.
Imagine my surprise when the loan officer called the day after we had spent two hours signing, to tell me that we had forgotten to sign one of the most important documents!!!!

Ugh I have sat through way too many loan closings and by the time you have signed your life away and initialed every page nine times it just leaves you with a sick pit in your stomach! It'll all be worth it in the end though!

I felt the same way when we had to sign for our house! It was crazy! I remember wanting to read everything and I wanted to understand it all, but I got so sick of it and Regie was so done that I started to just sign my life away without reading. Probably not the smartest thing I have ever done, but you get to the point where you stop caring!!

Congratulations! You probably just signed your life away, you know. Just remember, "RUMPELSTILTSKIN." It might come in handy later.
