Important * Walking* Important

Brooklyn took her first steps on Friday! It was really more like a running fall but it was 3 independent steps. I am elated. I was holding her and said, "walk to Julie." Julie reached out her arms and I was prepared to help her walk the 1 1/2 feet to those arms when she just took off. I started to try to catch her but she was doing just fine! We've been trying to get her to do it again and none are quite as stable as that first one was but she LOVES it. She will "walk" back and forth and back and forth. She's pretty unstable and can't keep her balance but this is a big break through for her. I'm still trying to get a video of the walk. It's really fast, you know. And usually I'm a participant. But I'll persevere until I get it.
Also, there was enough snow on the ground today that the kids made a snowman. Crazy. It's supposed to get up to 50 tomorrow though so I hope all this nonsense will be over for a while.
