Acid, the not drug kind And more Texas

Well, I've learned some important things about strong acids. They can eat right through rusty bolts! Amazing, huh? So, word to the wise: if you aren't sure that your bolts are rust-free, don't use acid drain-cleaner to clear your pipes. (I just spent 2 hours cleaning water out of our brand new carpet downstairs! grrrr.) Back to funner stuff!

Here are a few more pictures of my trip. One of my favorite places was in Las Colinas. Valerie took me to a cute little river-walk there and I LOVED it. It was so beautifl and peaceful. The buildings had awesome architecture and the water had a very soothing sound to it. It was the perfect contrast to all the loud and boisterous fun we had been having.

A real mummy! 20 people lived in this rustic cottage at a time! then they moved into this classic Southern Antibellum house (white) Val and I are in front of the cutest little restored victorian home. It's the Lavendar house.

One other cool part about Las Colinas, is that the curbs throughout the city are all made from 12" of marble. It's hard to believe it until you actually see it, but it's true!
