Soccer in the Snow!

Today was Casey's first soccer practice and game day. Of course, it's the coldest day we've had in about 3 weeks. We went out at 9:45 in about 25 degree weather. The snow was coming down consistently through the game and poor Erika's feet froze so she was crying the last half of the game while I bounced Brooklyn to try to keep her from crying too. All the while, I was shouting, "GO, CASEY! NO, THE OTHER WAY!" "GET THE BALL!!!" "RUN UP TO IT! NO! THE OTHER WAY! GO BLUE TEAM!!!" It was all quite an adventure. Casey did really well. He's a little timid about stealing the ball. After all, we've spent the last 5 1/2 years telling him to share and not to take other people's toys. Now all of a sudden, we're screaming for him to do just the opposite. Life can be so crazy sometimes. Casey did score one goal. Sadly it was on the other team's side but since we don't keep track of scores, he got high fives anyway. Yea. Go Casey!

I love watching little kids play sports. So funny! My little guy never did get into soccer though. He was much too interested in picking the dandelions. :)
