Bags for flash cards

Josh's flash cards were always getting mixed up and falling all over his bag. So I decided to do something about it. Some time ago, my friend Caroline did a tutorial about baggie storage. (see her link at the bottom) I altered it a bit by sewing down the center of two slide top zip-style baggies. That made two compartments in each. Then I followed Caroline's tutorial and added a strip of fabric to the bottom, sewing the two baggies together. Then, just slip the flashcards in. (We happen to have 4 sets) I like the pull-top zips because my kids can open and shut them effectively themselves and I think they are less likely to pop open. I reinforced a couple of holes that I poked into the fabric and stuck them in his homework folder where they are always available right where we need them!

What a great idea! I want to make one - I just need to find a reason for it. We don't have any flashcard requirements yet....
