So....Reality Me

OK. I've been watching too much TV lately. When we had our house, we didn't have any TV, ie..cable or local channels. I mean, we watched movies and stuff, but no TV programs. We liked it that way. But now that we're living here, we temporarily have TV again. I watch HGTV like a maniac. When there's something else I should do, I rationalize, "I can't turn it off now! The Orvilles have looked at 3 properties already and they're going to make an offer and OH! Desperate Landscapes is next!" But it's not just HGTV, I watch fat people run on treadmills in Biggest Looser. Why is that fascinating? I don't know. But I'm willing to sit through a ridiculous number of commercials to see them getting yelled at by the skinny trainers while I sit on my cushy chair and eat chips. I watch The Bachelor, American Idol, True Beauty (love that one).
So I realized that I'm watching too much reality TV the other day when I found myself narrating my day.
Yes. Sad. I know.

My reality show goes something like this:

Narrator: Andrea is getting tired now but there is so much laundry to do.

(zoom in on my face looking haggard then pan to large pile of laundry)

Narrator: And soon the baby will wake up and throw another kink into an already tight schedule. Will she be able to finish before it's too late?

(cue ominous music) (teaser footage of Brooklyn running around waving her diaper in the air)(cut to commercial)

(Fade back in with recap narration. Cue fast music and speeded up footage of Andrea zipping around doing laundry)

Narrator: The laundry is done but now it's 3:15 and the kids are not ready for gymnastics and no one has practiced the piano. Dinner isn't started and the clock is ticking down.......

Ya. You got the idea. I have GOT to cut back.
